Written by AACA Reatta Forum Sunday, 27 April 2008 LukeP Member Hello. I want to touch up the paint on the bumper where it is cracked in some places. What is the correct color of black paint to buy for the Reatta? Usually bumpers seem to be semi-flat colored, but the Reattas seem to have a glossier finish to them. Does anyone have the correct color code or can I just go to a auto parts place and use something off of the shelf? thanks Luke _________________________ Re: Touch up paint for bumper [Re: LukeP] Barney Eaton Long Time Member use model car paint from the hobby shop...it is made for plastic and works fine. Gloss black. _________________________ Re: Touch up paint for bumper [Re: LukeP] John White New Member My 89 had scrapes on both corners of the front bumper. I sanded entire bumper with 400 grit sandpaper and painted with SEM trim paint in gloss black. Looks great. Just do several thin coats and don't rush it . _________________________ Re: Touch up paint for bumper [Re: John White] Reattaron Member Does anyone know what to use to fill any gouges in the rub strip, before painting ? _________________________ Re: Touch up paint for bumper [Re: LukeP] matthewlawe Member I agree with John White. Use SEM Bumper Coater- gloss black. It's held up extremely well. Regards, _________________________ Last Updated Saturday, 20 June 2009 87,50% of 8 voters found this article useful.
