Description: Reatta Specialty Parts, LLC, now offers a reproduction of the original OEM part. It is visually identical to the OEM convertible sun visor clip. However, a slight change has been made in the ABS colored resin material and it is now slightly flexible and not prone to break when stressed with use. The composition of this ABS resin is the result of extensive testing by Reatta Specialty Parts, LLC.

This injection molded replication has a homogeneous color, a textured finish, and is sharply detailed and dimensionally perfect. The resin itself is colored, homogeneous and extremely close to the OEM production part.

Description: Valiant efforts have been made in the past to solve the Reatta headlight problem with various degrees of success. We have not only come up with a new and better solution to an old problem but have identified the problems with the OEM hardware. Our crank assemblies (Replaces PN 16510108 1988-1991) are dimensionally identical to original, however we have “designed out” the shortcomings of the factory and aftermarket parts. As a Reatta owner and mechanic I wanted my redesigned headlight bell crank kit to be as easy to install as possible. With our kit there is no need for special tools, additional hardware or spacers. The troublesome snap ring has been eliminated and replaced with a mechanic friendly hitch pin. Basically our product is installed exactly like the original, with higher quality materials and designed to be user friendly. As mentioned earlier we have designed out the problems with the original parts and are so confident in our engineering and manufacturing process that we offer a guarantee for as long as you own your car. These bell cranks should be trouble free.

Our product is professionally produced utilizing the latest technology probably unavailable when the car was originally produced. Our product is laser cut to within a thousandth of an inch and finished with a satin powder coat. No expense was spared producing this hardware and they were made right here in the USA. Returning “cores” or the old parts is unnecessary and they may be discarded at your option. In an effort to keep the cost of this kit down we do not sell you parts that you do not need.

Included in your kit will be a new manufactured bell crank and new Delrin roller bushings. As mentioned earlier the OEM bushings seem to fail due to age. (Even brand new OEM headlight motors will have old bushings and have been known to fail.) We manufacture new roller bushings to factory specs utilizing new virgin stock materials. We include all necessary hardware which includes two nylon push in (upstop) nuts to accomodate for variations we have noticed in the headlight bracket, a new motor shaft nut and even a 2ml container of blue Loctite to insure a perfect and long lasting repair. Note: A suggested tool list is included on the step by step installation instructions. Our Reatta experience make this the premium kit.

Description: Our objective in retro-fitting the GM Reatta crank arm, part number 16510108, was two-fold in that we wanted to retain the Original Equipment Part look and, at the same time, provide a remedy for the defects which became evident in the failure of the OE part during operation. It is the only crank arm available that has all of these qualities. All of the related components and installation hardware are included as indicated below.

As you can see in the first photo, upon installation, it's appearance is identical to the original part and cannot be distinguished from it.

The OE part was die cast of a zinc alloy and soon proved to be inadequate to hold up under the rigors of the nano-second opening and closing of the headlight assembly. To eliminate the inevitable "rounding out" of the crank arm motor shaft hole and resultant failure of the headlight open/close function , we have CNC precision machined an alloy steel hexagonal insert which is then press fit into a similarly machined cavity in the original crank arm. The design completely precludes any possibility of future crank arm failure and it will outlast the life of your vehicle.

A second weakness of the original GM assembly is the failure of the three plastic Torque Rollers, located in the motor gear case, which deteriorate with age, not usage. Our Parts Kit includes new Delrin torque rollers - be sure to use them along with the other kit components to completely refurbish your headlight motor.

If your Reatta headlights are opening and closing erratically or perhaps not at all, it is an indication that two components, the motor actuator (crank arm) and/or the plastic Torque Rollers (roller bushings) have failed or are failing. This part is our re-design of GM part number 16510108.
