Instructions for how to remove a Reatta seat.

Removing seats in the Reatta is pretty straight but the following instuctions and photos will prepare you for what to expect when you remove a power seat.

1. Move the seat all the way to the forward position.

2. Remove the plastic covers that conceal the nuts holding the seat frame to the floor on each side using a Phillips screwdriver.

3. Remove the nuts holding the seat to the floor using a 13mm wrench.

4. Move the seat all the way to the rear position, then move it forward slightly to prevent it from being in a bind.

5. Remove the plastic cover and the nuts holding the seat to the floor on the front of the seat frame.

6. Tilt the seat up in the front and disconnect the electrical connections.

7. Let the seat down in the front to the normal position.

8. Tilt the back of the seat toward the front of the car.

9. Lift the seat straight up to clear the mounting studs protruding from the floorboard.

The seat is heavy. You may need an assistant to help you remove the seat. Lifting the seat out of the car will put you in a very awkward position so be careful not to hurt your back.

10. Turn the seat so the rear of the seat is facing the door opening and tilt the seat so it will clear the top of door.

11. Maneuver the seat through the doorway and set the seat out on the floor.
